Dammam - Persian Percussion

This instrument is a percussion instrument with skin on both sides. It is played using a hand or palm leaf stem.

Today, this instrument is one of the main instruments in the Khuzestan and Hormozgan regions, but it is mostly associated with the music culture and art of Bushehr.

There are three types of this instrument: Dammam normal, Dammam Ghamba, and Dammam Ashkun.

The body material is plywood coated with a 2 mm wood layer, while the cover material can be Limba, Sapli, Walnut, or Beech. The skin type is goat, and the rope material is Brazilian hemp.
